SERVING CENTRAL LINN COUNTY, OREGON SINCE 1889

Thank You for Supporting Local Journalism

Because of our community’s generosity, The Brownsville Times met — and exceeded — our year-end matching challenge. That support affirms the value of independent, nonprofit journalism in Central Linn County.

While the matching campaign has concluded, donations remain essential to sustaining local reporting throughout the year.

Community Support Made This Possible

Thanks to readers and donors, more than $7,000 was raised to support independent, nonprofit journalism serving Brownsville, Halsey, Shedd, Tangent, Crawfordsville, and Harrisburg.

Your contribution helps us:

  • Fund in-depth coverage of local schools, city councils, and community events

  • Cover printing, distribution, and website costs

Every contribution — no matter the amount — directly supports local news and community connection.

Give the Gift of Local News

Support Local News — One Subscription at a Time

The Brownsville Times has launched a community-wide subscription drive with a goal of 800 print subscribers and 200 single-copy sales. Volunteers are visiting homes across Brownsville, Tangent, Crawfordsville, Shedd, Harrisburg, and Halsey to thank current readers and invite new ones to join.

You can also “Pay It Forward” by donating a subscription to a senior or neighbor in need. Just $96 provides a full year of connection and local news.
